School Author Day
Campfire Program

In conjunction with the ever-popular "Author Day" events held at both public and private schools each year, Ranger Ken puts on a real campfire program! Well, the campfire isn't real because principals frown on real campfires in their schools' cafeterias and multi-Trajan elementary Schoolpurpose rooms. But everything else is real, from the campfire songs that students participate in to the skits that help kids learn more about nature to the hand-held objects shared with your students, such as a beaver-chewed tree, animal skulls, snake skins, pine cones, special rocks, shells, feathers, and more!Ranger Ken with kids and rattlesnake

Ranger Ken generally conducts two campfires at each school program, one for the K through 3rd graders and a second for the 4th through 6th graders. Although the programs are similar and each takes approximately one hour (program length can be changed to meet Ranger Ken on Stageindividual school needs), the content for each program is modified slightly to be age/grade appropriate.

Ranger Ken is also available on a limited basis to speak to nonprofit organizations, churches, youth groups, and home-school groups.
